Our cosy brushed scarves and hats are brushed using a process which began in medieval times when native grown teasels were set in a frame to brush cloth, raising the fibres and creating a softer surface. This process is still the most effective way to brush wool and is still used in many of the Scottish knitting mills today. Made in southwest Scotland using traditional techniques and hand finishing in a knitting mill established over 100 years.
